'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News & Update: Upcoming Rockstar Game to Feature 'Incredible Emotional Depth,' Arriving Fall 2017

Back in 2010, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive surprised gamers with "Red Dead Redemption," a massively successful open world western action-adventure that earned several Game of the Year awards. It merited a sequel that's finally arriving Fall 2017. The latest news surrounding "Red Dead Redemption 2" is that it will offer "incredible emotional depth."

Seeing that the U.S. Presidential Election brought about the surprising win of Donald Trump, it seems that people are still recovering from the blow. Enter Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who commented to Gamespot that now is the perfect time for something like "Red Dead Redemption 2" to help gamers feel better about the political turnout.

Zelnick commented that he thinks "the times are right for a "big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again." He added that the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" will provide an "incredible emotional depth."

"Red Dead Redemption 2" was first announced in October, much to fans' and gamers' delight. In a short span of time, the game's announcement trailer earned so much more views than what Rockstar Games expected. If this is any indication, fans are indeed hungry for more of the "Red Dead Redemption" series.

Meanwhile, Paste Magazine is reporting that while "Red Dead Redemption 2" is offering "incredible emotional depth," people are hoping that a soundtrack is also already in the works. Back in 2010, the band Animal Collective recorded a song called "Mountain Game" for "Red Dead Redemption." The song did not however, see the light of day. Until today, of course.

Check out "Mountain Game" from Animal Collective below. Make sure to comment on what you'd like to see in "Red Dead Redemption 2" when it arrives in fall 2017.
