First Cars Of Transformers 4 Revealed

Paramount Pictures released the first three Autobot cars to Yahoo! Movies as Transformers 4 started principal photography this week.

All cars were filmed on the Monument Valley, Utah set and includes the Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse, C7 Corvette Stingray and Optimus Prime's Western Star Class 8 truck (replacing the Peterbilt 379).

Michael Bay will again direct and produce the fourth film in the franchise. On his blog he wrote about the shooting location.

"As a guest of the Navajo Nation, we took a convoy of brand new, re-envisioned and remodeled Autobots out for a spin down Highway 163 in Monument Valley near the border of Arizona and Utah," wrote Bay. "Stay tuned....more to come!"

Taking over Shia LaBeouf's lead will be non other than Mark Wahlberg along with other new cast members Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Li Bingbing, Sophia Myles and Jack Reynor. Peter Cullen is also reprising his role of Optimus Prime and Tyrese Gibson is in talks to return as Robert Epps.

Outside of Bay saying that the film will be darker and taking place four years after the events of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, details on the actual plot have yet to be released.

Transformers 4 is going for a lower budget between $165 - $170 million this time around according to Bay. That's around a $30 million cut compared to the original's $150, Revenge of The Fallen's $200 million and Dark of The Moon's $195.

The film is slated for a June 27, 2014 release putting it potentially in the same summer blockbuster field as the Godzilla reboot, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, 300: Rise of An Empire and Captain America: The Winter Soldier
