Call PlayStation 4 Pro a "filler" for next generation console but it cannot be argued that it sets new barometer for developers like Ubisoft to ride in the fast lane. Developers are now looking into this new level of capability and are trying to cope up.
PlayStation 4 Pro sets new pace in current gaming when it taunted 4K and processing power that is never before witnessed in the industry. And here comes another challenge for developers with Microsoft's Project Scorpio looming. Come to think of it, something is happening in video games that is unprecedented.
The good news is; developers are trying to dissect the power that lies underneath PlayStation 4 Pro so expect drastic changes in titles too. Nouridine Abboud of Ubisoft briefly discussed the perspective behind this fast-paced changes. He said in WeWriteThings report that developers are also in mayhem now that there are more platforms to choose from.
While Abboud admits that it is still few years before developers can leverage new consoles like PlayStation 4 Pro and Project Scorpio, the time will surely arrive. Think of graphics being pushed into another level and gamers having a totally euphoric experience. There are lots of choices too, from Ultra High Definition to High Dynamic Res and now 4K.
Meanwhile, Abboud confirmed that Ubisoft's 'Ghost Recon Wildlands' is already routing towards PlayStation 4 Pro. Although he reserved some details about the title until pre-hype and March 2017 release date. For now, the focus is still bent on gathering feedbacks form gamers about current style of playing shooters.
Before ultimately releasing for PlayStation 4 Pro, Ubisoft plans to conduct a beta for 'Ghost Recon Wildlands' first. Although it is safe to speculate that this beta could happen in early 2017, given the March 7th release date. The title is an open world shooter set in jungles of Bolivia where soldier-operatives have to infiltrate behind enemy lines.
