Lucas Film has recently released another TV spot for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" titled "Jyn and Cassian.'' This stretched TV spot centers on two hero rebels and their efforts to rip the plans to the Death Star.
The video shows that neither Cassian nor Jyn seem to be the sociable type. As Diego Luna narrates, it was K-250 in the Rebellion who Cassian considers a friend. K-250 is a droid Cassian programmed himself. Yet, in the video, there seems to be a budding friendship between the two characters.
"Rogue One: A Star Wars" Story is comprised of Felicity Jones who plays the role of Jyn Erso while Luna plays Cassian. The movie also stars Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen and Ben Mendelsohn. James Earl Jones is the voice behind the character Darth Vader. The movie is directed by Gareth Edwards; the same director that gave us 2014's "Godzilla" and the 2010 film "Monsters."
The 45-second trailer did a great job of molding Jyn Erso as the center of almost all the shots. The video gives her character a clear picture of a competent, independent and confident leader, according to Bustle. Jyn was also heard calmly uttering that she is not used to people staying when things go bad over intermingled scenes of weapon firing. To which, Cassian answered that it was a first for him.
According to Starwars, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is the first individual film produced from the regular "Star Wars" franchise. The website described the movie as an all new heroic adventure. It is set in a period of struggle where unexpected heroes allied to steal the plans to the Death Star. It pulls together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things and in the course become part of something greater. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will be in theaters on December 16, 2016.
