ZTE Axon 7 Release Date, Specs & Latest News: New Version Boasts Improved Specs; Android's First 'Force Touch' Technology

ZTE is one of Apple's toughest rivals in the enormous Chinese market for mobile phones. Considering the iPhone's recent troubles with its consumers in the world, ZTE seeks to capitalize this opportunity by releasing a new variant of the Axon 7 in the USA.

The Axon 7 has been out in the Chinese market for quite a while now. ZTE never shies away from creating good competition when it comes to phones. The Axon 7 has arguably one of the best hardware specifications for mobile devices available at the market today. It certainly is on par with some of today's biggest names when it comes to performance.

ZTE would want to increase its share of the mobile users in the US. Given that they give their users a good run for their money, the company decided to do a smart marketing maneuver. That is, release an upgraded variant for the phone without changing its name.

ZTE Upgrades Axon 7 With Hardware Tweaks & New 'Force Touch' Feature

Considering that the new Axon 7 is priced at $500, you'd want to make sure that you get what you are paying for. In an article posted by Digital Trends, the $100 dollar increase comes with hardware upgrades that would make your phone faster and bigger storage-wise. ZTE added an additional 2GB of RAM and another 64GB of storage space to an already stacked up phone.

Axon 7 would not be an immediate choice for American consumers yet, but if you have a phone that has 5.5 inch HD display that runs on a 1440 x 2560 resolution, a Snapdragon 820 processor and 20 megapixel camera, everything is a possibility. The new variant also introduces the "Force Touch" technology, which features a pressure sensitive screen. It's the first phone to have this feature on an Android platform.

ZTE Axon 7 Specs: Power, Style, Fun

A tweet from Technology News introduced ZTE's new phone as a combination of power, style and fun. The new upgrade already makes the new phone a higher-tier device. The new variant for the Axon 7 also sports the same metal body and reviewers have rated the all metal design to match with Samsung and Apple in the style department.
