‘Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location’ DLC Release Date, Gameplay, News & Update: Free Custom Night DLC Arriving In December; More Details
Following the release of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" in October, creator Scott Cawthon teased that a Custom Night update is coming to the game soon. Not much information has been revealed but Cawthon was generous enough to provide another teaser found on the official game website.
The teaser for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" doesn't give away that much, except that the Custom Night update will be offered free and not as a paid DLC. An exact release date has not been revealed as well but Scott Cawthon discussed what fans can expect from this update.
Posting on the Steam Community, Cawthon confirms that he and the team are currently working on the "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" Custom Night, which will be found in the Extras menu. It was also confirmed that players can unlock this new content when he or she has three stars. In addition, the update is not part of the Story Mode, which means that players can just restart the game and play it whenever they wish.
Scott Cawthon meant for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" Custom Night update to be ready for Halloween but admitted that it would be highly unlikely. He's going for a December release, instead. This shouldn't be a long wait and December is just less than a couple of weeks from now, so fans can expect more details to surface soon.
Meanwhile, Custom Night is nothing new in the "FNAF" game series. This feature lets players tweak the difficulty levels for the animatronics. Completing challenges with more difficult animatronics will bring up more story details. But for "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location," things could be different, iDigitalTimes noted. It remains to be seen if this new update will focus on the standard "FNAF" gameplay's Secret Room or there will be new mechanics. For now, fans should just wait until the official rollout of the DLC.
