'Destiny 2' Release Date, News & Update: Increased Space Exploration, Vehicles To Arrive For Bungie Sequel; PC Version Confirmed; More Gameplay Details

It's been a while since players had "Destiny," so it comes as no surprise that the clamor for a "Destiny 2" resonates louder and clearer nowadays. The biggest news about it so far is that it would finally debut on PC, something that computer gamers would surely appreciate greatly. But Bungie promises a completely different game in "Destiny 2," especially after the takeover of new director Luke Smith.

Given all that, how exactly would "Destiny 2" be different from its prequel? Here's everything you need to know about the game: new updates and upgrades, new features, release dates and more.

What to expect from 'Destiny 2'

According to several reports, "Destiny 2" will be expanding on the original game's formula, but will introduce more weapons, abilities and mechanics, according to Trusted Reviews. It's expected to overhaul its confusing storytelling, which was marred by several cut scenes and two-dimensional characters with predictable motivations. Hopefully, Bungie and Activision resolve this sooner to produce a more satisfying "Destiny 2" experience for players.

PC version arriving for 'Destiny 2'

Kotaku confirmed that "Destiny 2" would indeed be introducing a PC version for the game. This comes as no surprise especially if the studio wants to tap into  a larger vein of audiences. Moreover, it also reported that Vicarious Visions, a studio owned by Activision, would be helping out on "Destiny 2." Such a partnership would certainly make for a satisfactory product, given both studio's stellar credentials when it comes to creating video games.

Space exploration in 'Destiny 2'

Another report from International Business Times speculated that "Destiny 2" would finally bring in the element of space exploration, which was noticeably absent during the prequel. Now that the studio has finally done away with the constraints of last-gen consoles, players can expect more vehicles and space ships to appear in "Destiny 2." something that shouldn't even come as a surprise anymore since the game's premise is basically hinged on space fantasy adventure.
