Gigi Hadid News & Update: Apologizes for Melania Trump Impression at AMAs: I Had No Bad Intent

Gigi Hadid recently did something very unusual. While hosting the star studded American Music Awards in Los Angeles this Sunday, the 21 year old supermodel cracked jokes at the recently elected President Donald Trump and his wife Melania.

In a handwritten note posted on Twitter, the supermodel has now come up with an apology, after she has been badly criticized on the social media. She says that she believes the future first lady "understands show business and the way shows are written and run." Hadid also apologized in the note to anyone that she offended.

Gigi mocked Melania Trump by her impression during the AMAs. Since then, it seems that Gigi has taken the matter too seriously and has come up with the apology. While at her best and in a good attempt to impress her co-host Jay Pharoah, who is already an impression master, Hadid poked fun at the future first lady's Republican National Convention speech. Remember how she (Melania) plagiarizing the words Michelle Obama said onstage at the 2008 Democratic National Convention?

Gigi was as outspoken as ever this time. "This is my Melania Trump impression. I gotta get the face right", the diva spoke in her falsetto. "I love my husband, President Barack Obama, And our children, Sasha and Malia", she spoke in a fake Slovenian accent. On the other hand, Pharoah gave her a "spot on"for this attempt. He too impersonated the Donald following Bruno Mars' "24k Magic" performance.

Gigi smartly defended her move and in-turn blamed it on the show-business directly. Seems that she wants to maintain a good reputation on the social media and amongst her fans.
