'Pokemon Sun and Moon 'Release Date, News & Update: Pokemon Go To Help Upcoming Game Success? QR Codes To Fill Out Pokedex Revealed

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" has been rumored to be shipping with 10 million copies for the launch, which is 1.5 times the amount of launch shipments made by Nintendo for Pokemon X and Y. Given such, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" appears to be the official largest launch in the history of 3DS.

The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are expected to become popular, despite reports that "Pokemon X and Y" are the best-selling 3DS games today. Given the fact that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are fast becoming the most downloaded 3DS demo, a lot of fans believe that Nintendo will hit success with this launch. Meantime, "Pokemon Go" release in July is believed to likely help the success of "Pokemon Sun and Moon". Based on reports, the game broke the mobile gaming records, with sales of mainline Pokemon games and 3DS hardware enjoying the increase as a result.

A large marketing move for "Pokemon Sun and Moon" seems to be taken seriously by Nintendo as well,  as rumors claim of a likely new trailer every week that will run for a few months. Other reports further suggest of several features in the upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon" that await the players while they explore the Alola region. The final trailer is reported to have been released early this week that showed Z-Moves for starter Pokemon.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" was launched for Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18, according to  Slash Gear. Meanwhile, "Pokemon Sun and Moon's" less popular feature QR code scanner was revealed prior to the game's launch, as the finer details are reported to continue being uncovered by players. This game feature is a post-game content, and players help each other out by making it become more accessible.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" QR code scanner will be unlocked when the players beat the main campaign, allowing them to scan QR codes. Each code corresponds to one Pokemon in the Alola's regional Pokedex. Once scanned, the players will then register them in order to seek out in their own games, Polygon reported. Watch the Final Evolutions of the Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon!
