There are ones who spread rumors and there are ones who believe them. This is somewhat the case with Samsung currently, with many believing it would abandon the "Note" series altogether after the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. Then, there are some who swear by faith and believe that Samsung will pounce back right into the competition with a brand new Galaxy Note 8.

Samsung is surely in damage-control mode and even established a Note 7 Exchange Program, giving a chance to sufferers to upgrade to Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge. If some tech experts are to be believed, the company is already developing the Galaxy Note 8 and the handset could be released in the first quarter of 2017.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 may also be offered at great discounts to Note 7 buyers once the smartphone is released. An October story by GSMArena surprised everybody as the site reported Samsung is seriously considering discontinuing the Note series, and this was apparently reported by a Russian site Hi Tech

As per the report, a survey showed that 50 percent of the participants agreed to the fact that the "Note" brand carries a negative connotation. Thus, a rebranding seemed inevitable. However, the South Korean tech giant has not made any announcement on this regard, which is a bit surprising, considering the gravity of the situation and the decision.

This has led many to believe that Samsung is not going to just sit tight and let the tide pass. Instead, it would come back with a bang with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with a probable relinquishment of the Home button. The screen size may be increased.

Fans do want to see a 4K Display, a 6GB RAM and an Exynos 8895 chipset in the device. Needless to say, this time, fans also want a removable battery in the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to avoid misfortune.

To add a twist to the tale, Samsung could also make the Galaxy Note 8 foldable, but that's stretching the imagination out of control. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more Samsung Galaxy Note 8 news and updates!
