‘Resident Evil VII: Bioharzard’ Specs, Features, News & Update: Paul W.S. Anderson, Capcom’s Next Big Project: ‘Monster Hunter’ Movie

Producing Partners writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson and Impact Pictures Capcom have already been looking over to their next potential project, the "Monster Hunter" movie. Since 2012 the project is already on their list.

Anderson and Jeremy Bolt already consulted the executives of Capcom about the project. He said they've treated them with tremendous respect and earned their trust in order to pursue the project. Reports recently says that Capcom controlled the rights and it is now bigger for them than "Resident Evil."

Meanwhile, Game Spot revealed that Capcom expected that "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard" to ship four million unit sales right after its current fiscal year. Because of this, the company gave the game its title "Foundation" for it is aimed to reach a solid level so that it can rise and exceed its digital distribution.

Collider also shared that partners Anderson and Bolt plans to include in the partnership the co-founder and president of Toronto-based VFX house, Mr. X, Denis Berardi. For the $50 million dollar range of his VFX renderings for the creatures for "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard."

In an interview, Anderson was attracted with "Monster Hunter" and how it is sprawling in the fantasy world. Those giant creatures as big as a city block seeme surprising. Given the fact that it can live underneath the earth. Flying dragons, giant spiders and more wonderful creatures  also attracted him. Best thing about the project is that he is free to develop his own protagonists.

Meanwhile, "Resident Evil VII: Biohazard" will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on January 24, 2017 as its launch date, while the "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" will also releease on the big screens by January 27, 2017.
