It has been said that the author of "The Winds of Winter" lost the manuscript he had worked on for years now. The report did not exactly give an official date of release but pointed out that Martin is still writing.
"The Winds of Winter" release date is expected to fall in the spring of 2017 together with the seventh book of "ASOIF," "A Dream of Spring".
