‘Sherlock’ Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: PBS Reveals 7 Snaps Of Holmes, Watson, Mary & Newest Villain Culverton Smith!

"Sherlock" Season 4 has a very special Thanksgiving gift for all its fans as PBS recently revealed new official photos of the show. Fans were treated with seven new snaps that gave a glimpse of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch), Watson (Martin Freeman) together with his wife, Mary's (Amanda Abbington) and their child.

One of the "Sherlock" Season 4 pictures is deemed as a "family portrait" of Sherlock Holmes, Watson, Mary and their newborn kid were seen altogether, per Screener. Anyhow, it is not yet known how this kid will affect the relationship of her dad and Sherlock Holmes as the latter looked puzzled when he looked at the baby.

In another snap of "Sherlock" Season 4, it looks like Sherlock Holmes and Watson will be up into a new mission as they look preparing for another adventure. Moreover, a snap showing the brothers Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss) and Sherlock Holmes also revealed and they seemed mad to each other.

Lastly, the much-awaited appearance of Toby Jones as the newest "Sherlock" Season 4 villain Culverton Smith is now revealed! The said character is derived from the original Sherlock Holmes story, "The Dying Detective," by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

It is not yet revealed if Smith's storyline in "Sherlock" Season 4 will be based on its original story, but Steven Moffat once said that he is the "darkest villain" fans will ever see. "He's the darkest villain we've had. There was always something charming and engaging about Moriarty. There was something fascinating and actually amoral, rather than immoral, about Charles Augustus Magnussen. This guy is the purest evil," Moffat told Collider.

"Sherlock" Season 4 will be revealed on exactly Jan. 1, 2017 on PBS. However, there are swirling rumors that this will be the final offering of the network's Sherlock story as Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have busy schedules. But, "Doctor Strange" himself already debunked the hearsays.
