Nokia's CEO Rajeev Suri has recently announced that Nokia is back in the smartphone industry with its newest model, Nokia Pixel. Now, new reports are claiming that Nokia is set to release the device in February 2017 at the opening of the MWC Trade Show.

Now that Nokia is owned by a Finnish company, HMD Global, smartphone users are now expecting the partnership to bring into the market a flagship model which will equally level with the newest phone models of Samsung and iPhone. The Nokia Pixel is said to create a benchmark for the other Nokia android models. Reports are claiming that avid fans of the Nokia devices are now expecting the company to deliver more advanced models in the future.

According to Tech2, the Nokia Pixel will operate in Android Nougat 7.0.1, dual-core 1.19GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, and with 1GB RAM. Furthermore, it is also expected that Nokia will input Zeiss lens and a 2K QHD display, considered as the main highlight of the new phone.

Although Nokia Pixel has some of the latest features, the biggest question is whether Nokia can be able to compete with smartphone companies such as Samsung which is already moving to the latest Snapdragon 830 series processor. However, amidst this doubt, Nokia will design Nokia Pixel as having a water-resistant body, PC Tablet reports. Moreover, CEO Suri, nor HMD Global have not yet releases any statements pertaining to the design.

Since the leaks on Nokia Pixel reached the internet, the company has been silent about it. According to rumors, Samsung is now working double time on technological research now that Nokia is back to compete in the market. It can be recalled that Nokia was once considered a leader in smartphones before its competitors exceeded it. There is no final release as to the whole specs and features of Nokia Pixel. Avid smartphone users have to wait until next year.
