G For Geek

What would Mad Moxxi serve? This.

In the Borderlands universe, guns and booze go hand in hand, particularly for the Vault Hunter's resident sniper Mordecai. God only knows what sort of stuff he drinks to keep his aim steady. I imagine there's a lot of shakes that come with watching your beloved Bloodwing's head go up like a tinderbox.

Sometimes, all the bottles of Rakk ale just ain't gonna cut it. Besides, you have any idea what it takes to ferment that stuff? Krieg does, that's why the poor guy's so screwed up.

No shame in going for something a bit higher end, something more robust perhaps, but Gearbox never addressed what sort of micro brews Pandora has to offer. But artist and hop head Nick Fillis has an idea. Fillis sketched up some Borderlands 2 inspired custom beer labels that'd be a welcome fit on any bottle. Just goes to show you that there's a lot of great beer stuff coming out of Oregon (shameless plug for one of my personal favorites, Dead Guy, as well as almost anything else Rogue does).

From Vault Hunter ESB to Eridium Imperial Ale, each label belongs on a tap at the Badass Crater Bar, Torgue ranting and raving about explosions in the corner, Moxxi keeping an eye out for husband number four, and the tabs growing ever larger. I'd stay away from the Bullymongs and Boner Farts though.

Said Fillis about his designs, "This was just a fun project I did for myself but couldn't help but sharing. Borderlands 2 is one of my favorite video games and as a beer lover I wondered what Pandora's beer would look like so I decided to create some labels based on the themes, characters, setting and humor in the game."
