‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Release Date, Plot, News & Update: What To Expect From Revival Series

After stopping at Season 4 in 2010, "Prison Break" now has made a comeback, ending their seven-year hiatus. The most awaited season of the series is set to air in the spring of the year 2017.

Together with the comeback of the show is the comeback of the fans' favorite character, Michael Scofield. Many believed that the death of Wentworth Miller's character was indeed the end of the show, but they were wrong. In the announcement of "Prison Break" Season 5, Fox TV's chairman Dana Walden said that the return of Scofield in season 5 is logical and believable. As to how it will be explained, the fans are very excited to discover.

As per Digital Spy, revelations regarding the survival of Scofield's character will be a major part of "Prison Break" Season 5's plot. With the questions about Scofield's death circling around the whole 'Prison Break' community, it was made sure by the showrunners that there will obviously be a literal prison break.

There are rumors about the coming of a new villain in the revival series who will play a huge role, particularly in answering questions that were left hanging from Season 4's The Final Break episode. As new characters come, the creators of the show also hinted about a character who might die. Furthermore, talks about the poem entitled Odyssey by Homer has been used as an inspiration for some of the parts of "Prison Break" Season 5. No matter the inspiration used in this new season, it is promised that the comeback of "Prison Break" will be maintaining its uniqueness that hooked the fans in the first place.

However, according to some reports, several delay in productions might postpone the target release date of "Prison Break" Season 5. Despite this, the showrunners of the fifth season of "Prison Break" has made sure that the show's return will be worth the long wait.
