‘Half Life 3’ Release Date, News & Update: Steam Gamers Badly Wants ‘Half Life 2’ Sequel! New Characters, Storyline, Gameplay Details Revealed

A lot of gamers and fans all over the world, who have been supporters of Steam and Valve for a long time, are still hoping that there will be a "Half Life 3" game coming very soon. At the recently held Steam Awards nomination, the game "Half Life 2" got the most amounts of votes and nominations for the "Game That Deserves a Sequel" award.

This only shows that, even though several games have already passed, players are still patiently waiting for "Half Life 3." In fact, fans have been waiting for it for a decade already. According to a report from Gaming Bolt, Steam will not start working for the game like "Half Life 3" just because a lot of users expressed they want it. However, it is a sign that the gaming community desperately want "Half Life 3" to become reality.

Fans strongly believe that "Half Life 3" is currently under development because some data miners found a code at a DOTA2 update that says "HLVR." Fans automatically assumed that the secret code means Half Life Virtual Reality and that the coming "Half Life 3" would have a virtual reality support. For the fast improving gaming technology nowadays, it's not a surprise that the game might have a VR support.

According to an article from PCgamesN, they've got a list for the upcoming PC games. Sadly, the game "Half Life 3" is not included in the list. Even though Valve or Steam has not confirmed "Half Life 3," rumors and speculations about its development are spreading online.

Some rumors say that Valve is already working on "Half Life 3" secretly. Some say that Valve doesn't want to disappoint fans for not making a sequel for "Half Life 2" but the company also wants to surprise them when it is already ready.
