The first thing that you need to do is to become an Alola Champion. When you have already achieved the prestigious title, then you can work your way into catching the first guardian. Once you become the Alola Champion of "Pokemon Sun and Moon", Lillie will push you to go towards the Ruins of Conflict. Touching the ruins will challenge Tapu Koko at level 60. Tapu Koko is the guardian deity of the Melemele Island. Tapu Koko's ability is Electric Surge, and when you catch it you will obtain the legendary Pokemon at level 60 along with the moves - Nature's Madness, Discharge, Agility and Electro Ball.

The next "Pokemon Sun and Moon" guardian that you can catch is Tapu Lele, the guardian deity of Akala Island. The deity can be found in the Ruins of Life and you need to touch the pedestal at the end of the ruins to challenge it. Note that in order to catch it, you will need to have the Machamp Poke Ride. Catch it successfully and you will get a Tapu Lele level 60 with the abilities Nature's Madness, Extrasensory, Flatter and Moonblast.

The third guardian is known as Tapu Fini, the protector of Poni Island. Simply touch the statue at the end of the Ruins of Hope and you can challenge it. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" guide says that you will need a Machamp for this.

The last deity is Tapu Balu, the guardian deity of Ula'ula Island. In order to challenge it, trainers need to go to the Ruins of Abundance and touch the last statue.
