‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 2 Spoilers, Latest News & Updates: Different Rip Hunter Returning A La Harrison Wells?

“Legends of Tomorrow” has done decently well with “White Canary/Sara Lance” (Caity Lotz) at the helm but most are still left wondering what really happened to “Rip Hunter” (Arthur Darvill). He has been missing in action since that catastrophe that saw most sent to various times.

Vixen reveals returning key character

Regardless, Maisie Richardson-Sellers -- who plays Vixen -- recently revealed that Rip Hunter will be returning to “Legends of Tomorrow”, Cinema Blend reported. She confirms the return of the original captain of the ‘waverider’ though he may not be the same one many remember.

All this will most likely happen in the four-part “Heroes vs. Aliens” crossover starting this week, one that may feature a lot of time-traveling for the crew of “Legends of Tomorrow”. And that alone could explain why a difference in person is to be expected.

Could the difference be tied up to altered timelines?
With word that “Legends of Tomorrow’s” Rip Hunter will be returning a changed man, it calls to mind a similar scenario that Flash (Grant Gustin) created on his show. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) underwent a lot of character changes and the one he portrays right now is far from the original scientific genius many knew him to be.

While Richardson-Sellers dish of seeing a different kind of Rip Hunter may get most thinking, what are the chances of seeing him being less intelligent and tactical as before? Could it be the same script with “The Flash” to blame for the mess?

Whatever the changes may be on Rip Hunter, it seems that the different persona will carry on for the duration of “Legends of Tomorrow”. The team was headed back to 2016 in the closing scenes of the last episode so this should be a pretty exciting week for DC Entertainment fans.

“Heroes vs. Aliens” kicks off on “Supergirl” first with the plots getting thicker moving on to other shows like “Flash”, “Arrow” and “Legends of Tomorrow”, Screen Rant reported. Stay tuned for more updates.
