'The Elder Scrolls 6' & 'Fallout 5' News & Update: Bethesda Working On New Titles? ‘Skyrim’ Coming To Nintendo Switch?

Todd Howard of Bethesda recently sat down for an interview to confirm that a new "The Elder Scrolls" game is in the works, among other things. The game director also hinted that they will make "Fallout 5" in the future.

Howard has been the lead developer of "The Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout" games since 2002. He said that he would wish to continue making new titles for the series and that it would be sad if they stopped.

Howard continued that Bethesda also wants to work on other projects, but "The Elder Scrolls" and "Fallout" are already part of his identity. Howard mentioned that they also experiment with little games like "Fallout Shelter."

Howard told Glixel that they will create a new "The Elder Scrolls" game, although he did not provide details yet. He said that it is not a big active project at the moment and that there are others that they are currently working on.

Howard explained that the next "The Elder Scrolls" game is important to their fans, so they need to be careful in setting expectations. He assured fans that there will be a new title after "The Elder Scrolls V" and they already have a game concept. Pete Hines, Bethesda marketing executive, previously mentioned that "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not yet in development, but they will make it eventually.

Howard also said before that the studio is working on three major projects, excluding "The Elder Scrolls 6," although fans should not expect these to launch anytime soon. He added that they tend to overlap projects all the time, and they just have more going on than before.

GameSpot reported that Howard also shared how much he loves the Nintendo Switch. He said that the demo he tried at E3 2016 was one of the best he has ever seen. He continued that Bethesda will definitely support the console.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" was featured in the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer, hinting that it may be one of the games that will be supported by the upcoming console. Howard said that "Skyrim" is the same game on the TV and the other screen. More updates and details on "The Elder Scrolls 6" are expected soon.
