"Descendant 2", is a sequel of the Disney Channel Original Movie "Descendants", that features teenage kids of Disney's most popular villains. Sofia Carson who plays Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen in Snow White said that the sequel "is about knowing where we come from makes us who we are. We're part Auradon and part Isle".
In "Descendants 2", the four kids namely Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos come back to the Isle of the Lost. According to a source, Mal would feel choked up on the too perfect world of Auradon and thus decided to go back to the Isle of Lost. Upon entering the place, she would realize that Uma has plans to "break the barrier" between the two worlds. With Mal's sudden disappearance, King Ben decided to go after her. To enter the Isle of the Lost, he needs to blend in with the crowd. So off goes the formal wear and in goes the villain look. As the team re-enters the villain world, problems would arise complementary to Uma's new formed gang.
New characters on the set of "Descendants 2" would include Thomas Doherty as Harry Hook, the son of Neverland's infamous pirate Captain Hook; Dylan Playfair as Gil, son of Gaston, Belle's villain suitor; Anna Cathcart as Dizzy Tremaine, the daughter of Cinderella's step-sister; Brenna D'Amino as Jane, daughter of Fairy Godmother; Dianna Doan, as Lonnie, daughter of Fa Mulan and Li Shang; Jedidiah Goodacre as Prince Chad Charming, son of Cinderella and Prince Charming; Zachary Gibson as Doug and Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother.
Coming back to the studio from the first series to "Descendants 2" are Dove Cameron (Mal), Sofia Carson (Evie), Booboo Stewart (Jay), Cameron Boyce (Carlos de Vil), China Anne McClain (Uma), Mitchell Hope (King Ben), Keegan Connor Tracy (Queen Belle), Dan Payne (King Beast), and Kristin Chenoweth (Maleficent).
Disney's "Descendants 2" will be released insummer of 2017. It is directed by Kenny Ortega and written by Josann McGibbon and Sarah Parriott.
