Martian Manhunter hits Injustice: Gods Among Us at the end of July

Again, more game information has been revealed at this year's Comic Con, this time for DC's super powered fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us. After announcing a new DLC character, Martian Manhunter, at this year's EVO, we've since learned that players will be able to get a hold of him in just a few days.

Destructoid is reporting that Injustice developer, NetherRealm Studios, was at this year's Con and announced that the green skinned alien with the strength of Superman arrives at the end of the month, July 30th. Also included with the Manhunter is the John Stewart skin for Green Lantern seen in the recent trailer, voiced by the same actor who voices him in the Justice League cartoon, Phil LaMarr.

No plans have been announced for an additional season pass, so it's assumed that Martian Manhunter will be an independent purchase, as the original season pass only included four DLC characters, which have already been released - Lobo, Zod, Batgirl, and Scorpion. It's logical to assume he'll cost the same (400 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, and/or $4.99 on PlayStation 3), but nothing official has been mentioned as of yet regarding price.

The DLC announcement only made mention of the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, but not the Wii U. Unfortuante though it may be, it does make sense. It took about two months for all the DLC released so far to finally arrive on the Nintendo console.

Another Justice League notable, Martian Manhunter claims many of the same powers as Superman, likewise the result of his alien heritage: flight, super strength, regeneration, endurance, speed, as well as few powers Superman can only dream of having, like telepathy, mind control, and shape shifting. Maybe there's some Shang Tsung like trickery coming to
Injustice? It ain't all easy being green though, Manhunter is completely at the mercy of fire, so remember that when you face him as an opponent.

Despite his overwhelming strength, Manhunter fights like a bit of a trickster, using a lot of teleports to extend combos. Dhalsim fans will also recognize a familiar, stretchy aspect of Manhunter's style as well.
