'Forza Horizon 3' Release Date, News & Update: 'Blizzard Mountain' DLC Features 8 New Vehicles, Three Race Types; Arriving December 13

Playground Games and Microsoft Studios' upcoming open world racing video game isn't arriving until December, but the studio has announced the "Blizzard Mountain" DLC expansion details. The first massive expansion for the upcoming "Forza Horizon 3" features eight new vehicles, three race types, and as much as 50 new campaign challenges, all arriving December 13.

IGN reports that the upcoming "Forza Horizon 3" first big DLC titled "Blizzard Mountain" features eight new vehicles, including the 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX. Other vehicles in the DLC include the 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck, 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4, and 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B. Fans can also get their hands on the 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck, and 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car.

Meanwhile, "Forza Horizon 3" gamers will also find that the "Blizzard Mountain" DLC also features three race types—Hill Climb, Descent, and Blizzard. There are also new events namely Bucket List, Blueprint, and Rival, as per VG24/7. Note that during these activities, gamers will be able to earn 28 new achievements, all worth as much as 500 points. All of these are arriving December 13 in the "Blizzard Mountain" DLC.

Note that highly anticipated "Blizzard Mountain" DLC for "Forza Horizon 3" comes free to those who have the Expansion pass. For those who have "Forza Horizon 3" Ultimate Edition, you'll get a $10 discount for the "Blizzard Mountain" DLC.

"Forza Horizon 3" is directed by Ralph Fulton and produced by Adam Askew. It was released to Xbox One and PC on September 27. The "Blizzard Mountain" DLC is arriving December 13.
