“The Witcher” is a sensational game, which showed the world that fantasy RPG’s are not dead and there is a lot of untapped potential still hidden in them. Geralt of Rivia is not your typical knight in shining armor and he never wanted to be such. He is a witcher, a hunter of monsters who will rid you of all of your problems for as long as you have the gold to pay him.
A lot can be said about “The Witcher” game series and a lot of it had been said at the Golden Joystick Awards ceremony. There, “The Witcher 3” managed to get three prizes. Digital Spy shares that the dark fantasy adventure has received awards for “Best Storytelling”, “Best Visual Design” and “Best Gaming Performance” for Doug Cockle’s work on voicing Geralt of Rivia.
CD Project Red also received the “Studio of the Year” award, packing four awards in the ceremony, where only Blizzard’s “Overwatch” managed to surpass them with receiving five awards.
For those of you who have not yet tried “The Witcher 3” Games Radar shares some pleasant news. The Playstation Store has made some big discounts for Black Friday. Among them is a discounted price for “The Witcher 3 Complete Edition” set on $24.99. Other retailers, including GOG have made big discounts on the title too and now is the chance to grab your copy.
There is still not much known about CD Project Red’s new title “Cyberpunk 2077”. Game Rant reports that the studio is being very secretive of their work on the new game, where the only official disclosed information about it is that it is going to be “really, really, really f**king badass”.
Other scarce information includes that the game will be more ambitious than “The Witcher 3”, but there has still not been an official explanation. It is rumored that the game will have flying cars, seamless multiplayer and a living world.
For now, none of these theories have been officially discussed by CD Project Red or any of their representatives.
