'Marvel Vs Capcom 4' Release Date, News & Update: Reality OR Rumor?
Reports claim that "Marvel Vs. Capcom 4" is already in the works and is scheduled to have a 2017 release date. The game will most likely feature new characters from the latest Marvel movies like Groot, Captain America and Ironman.
Fans are excited for the 2016 Playstation Experience. Apparently, during the tournament for the Capcom Cup, a major announcement concerning the much awaited "Marvel Vs. Capcom 4" will finally be unveiled.
The celebration for the "Marvel VS Capcom 4" update was short-lived though since the producer of "Marvel VS Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds," Ryota Nitsuma, tweeted that the rumor was not coming true any time soon.
Nitsuma also added that his team would be more than happy to work on "Marvel VS Capcom 4," but nothing has been going on in relation to the game. Nitsuma also added that they were very thankful for the support and dedication of the fans.
It should be noted that even if "Marvel VS Capcom 4" is just a rumor, there is still a tiny bit of possibility that it will happen in the future. "Marvel VS Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds" was released 11 years after "Marvel VS Capcom 2." It was said that the the migration of 2D to 3D caused the major delay but it seems that the acquisition of the necessary licenses was the culprit.
With all the characters in the game, acquiring the necessary licenses to develop it would definitely take more time and effort from the team. The recent success and expansion of the Marvel brand will prove to be a challenge especially if they are not willing to license out their brand. "Marvel vs Capcom 4" will only be possible with the collaboration of both the developer and Marvel.
The "Marvel vs Capcom 4" update will remain a rumor until an official announcement is released. Still, it wouldn't hurt to watch out for more updates during the Playstation Experience this coming December 3-4.
