iPhone 7 Curved Screen Release Date, News & Update: New Model Arriving In 2017: Impressive Specs, Features & Other Details

Apple is considering moving forward with an iPhone 7 Curved Screen model with a curved display. According to the WSJ, several vendors have already been contacted by the technology to increase the resolution of the screens compared to Samsung.

Next year, iPhone celebrates 10 years. In order to mark this date Apple may even launch new models with curved screens, such as Samsung's Edge models. According to the Wall Street Journal, some Asian market vendors were contacted by the Cupertino company to increase the production of OLED screens and improve its resolution against rival Samsung in order to distinguish the models of iPhone 7 Curved Screen.

The patent of iPhone 7 Curved Screen with the functionality to improve the resolution of the screens has already been requested. However, as the WSJ underlines, Apple may decide not to move forward with this model since it has studied more than 10 patents.

As it was reported last week Apple is facing difficulties in equipping its next iPhone 7 Curved Screen with OLED screens, an energy efficient technology for the equipment and also used in equipment with curved screens. This is due to the fact that the four major manufacturers of the technology (Samsung Display, Sharp Corp., Japan Display and LG Display) are unable to produce screens for all new iPhone 7 Curved Screen models in both 2017 and 2018, as Bloomberg reported.

Market Watch also revealed that Apple and Samsung have an exclusive agreement to supply OLED screens for next year. The annual order of OLED screens by the iPhone owner to South Korea is 100 million screens a year. However, the contract does not guarantee that Samsung will be able to provide the necessary viewers to look for the new iPhone 7 Curved Screen model.

This is not the first problem with vendors that Apple faces. In 2014, the Tim Cook company tried to adopt sapphire screens on the iPhone 6. The producer was unable to produce enough quality screens and the technology company was forced to abandon the deal for iPhone 7 Curved Screen.
