'Overwatch' Latest News and Updates: Winter is Coming

"Overwatch", which is now considered to be one of the most popular games online has recently been reported to be preparing for its winter event. Fans will soon the winter chill as the game might be releasing a new mode. Christmas related audios and other updates have recently been added to the game.

"Overwatch" recently released its new character named Sombra along with some changes with its game modes. Quick Play match was also updated and added its character selection with  a single pick selection. This means that all players will have to play distinct characters when they're in the same game. No Limits mode have also been updated with the Arcade Mode where players have the option to use the same characters at the same time, Destructoid reported.

The latest "Overwatch" game patch revealed that Symmetra will be getting some major upgrades. Even its theme song will soon be revamped in lieu of the Christmas season. Athena, Overwatch's voice over, has also been given new lines, which will give the players some clues of the new game mode. Athena's new line include "Now entering the arena." Other new lines that have been added have the words gladiator and challenger.

There are rumors that Athena's new lines may hint a possibility of having a new arena mode and a completely new map as well. However, there are now official statements about the coming changes in the game, but it's apparent that "Overwatch" is preparing for a Christmas theme as the holidays is fast approaching. 

Signs are clearly noticeable especially in the in-game maps such as Nepal and the Volskaya Industry, with their grounds turned a bit icy with frozen water. "Overwatch" is released in May 2016 by Blizzard Entertainment for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox One. It's a multiplayer first-person video game that has been recently gaining popularity among gamers worldwide.
