'Reign' Season 4 Spoilers, News & Update: Show Canceled As Adelaide Kane Is Leaving, Who Will Win Between Elizabeth & Mary?
"Reign" season 4 will be back by February 2017 and fans of the show are wondering if it will be the last season of the show as there are reports that the show's star Adelaide Kane, who plays the character of Mary Stuart, does not want to renew her contract for "Reign" season 5. The question is who will win the war between Elizabeth and Mary Stuart.
In the last episode of "Reign" season 3, Elizabeth has Lola, who was one of Mary's closest friends, publicly executed. Because of this Mary has vowed that she would take over Elizabeth's throne. But if history will be taken into consideration, Mary would not be successful in her desire to defeat the Queen of England. If history would be followed, Mary Stuart should be executed in the series.
But "Reign" has not always followed history in the series. It will be remembered that Francis, the Dauphine of France and Mary's first husband, died from an assassination when he and Mary were attacked. He was supposed to die from a middle ear infection, but "Reign" season 3 showed him getting healed through magic.
Laurie McCarthy, who is the showrunner for "Reign" season 4 has stated that they do take liberties with some elements of history, but it seems that for "Reign" season 4, they would be staying true to what the history book say, which means the end of the series will most probably feature Queen Elizabeth taking over Scotland.
But there are also news that Mary Stuart will be choosing between two suitors and decide on who to marry between the two. Lord Darnley, who is a noble man with a claim to the throne of England will most likely be the next husband of the Queen of Scots. But there is also Bothwell, who will try to win Mary's heart in "Reign" season 4.
Who do you think will be the next husband of Mary Stuart in "Reign" season 4? Share your thoughts and comments below.
