"Star Wars: Battlefront" new DLC is arriving soon and this was confirmed by EA Games. Sources stated that the upcoming update entitled the "Rogue One: Scarif" has been scheduled for Dec. 6 launch.
EA Games announced the contents of "Star Wars: Battlefront" Scarif expansion pack and its date of release via the Battlefront website. The update was said to have been inspired by the forthcoming Disney movie, the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" which will premiere on Dec. 16.
What to Expect
The "Star Wars: Battlefront" Rogue One: Scarif offers at least four new maps including that of a beach which was featured in the movie version. The DLC will also introduce two new characters named Orson Krennic and Jyn Erso.
They will be added in the roster of heroes in the game. "Star Wars: Battlefront" Scarif expansion pack will also come with new game mode that will allow a unified ground and space battle.
Anniversary Offering
As part of game's first year anniversary, EA Games is offering the Scarif DLC for free. Plus, the Dec. 6 update will feature the "Star Wars: Battlefront" Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission which will be playable on PlayStation VR. This will give players a chance to pilot and fully control their own X-wing in full VR experience.
