Microsoft is bringing its popular version of Solitaire to iOS and Android today. It can be remembered that the game existed on Windows for more than 25 years. It is one of the most played games of all time on the platform.

Solitaire has been bundled with Windows since version 3.0, released all the way back in 1990. Microsoft's most recent version, the Solitaire Collection, is already available on mobile devices and Windows 8 and Windows 10 PCs, and has reached more than 119 million unique players in the last four years.

Now the modern Solitaire Collection will be available outside Windows for the first time. "It'll now be offering its Solitaire Collection on iOs and Adroid as the company hopes to gain a lot more players to add to the 119 million who have played the game on Windows 10 and Windows 8" PC Mag added.

"The new version offered more game modes, as well as achievements and cloud saves through Xbox Live, but famously included full-screen advertisements and banner unless you paid for the Premium edition", Android Police confirmed.

Furthermore, the game includes Klondlike, FreeCell, Spider, Pyramid, and Tripeaks game types, alongside daily challenges for players. Not only that, Microsoft is now integrating Xbox Live into the game so you can sign into Solitaire and play with friends or earn achievements. In addition, "players will need to sign in with their Xbox Live gamertag or Microsoft account and earn Xbox Live achievements and gamerscores", IB Times reports.

Indeed many players addicted to this game will now start downloading Solitaire to their smartphone. But wait! There's still a much more bigger surprise that Microsoft has to offer, it now gives a one month free subscription of premium edition (Microsoft Solitaire Collection), worth $1.99, between November 23 to December 31.
