The popularity of "Assasin's Creed" as a video game has slowly been falling much to the developers worry. Because of this, the excitement that the "Assasin's Creed" movie is receiving is definitely welcome news for them. The upcoming movie has been creating some hype that the developers are hoping, that it will bring interested players back to their games.
The first movie is not yet out but according to reports, the sequel is already in the planning stage. Michale Fassbender, the two -time Oscar Nominee, will be the leading man of "Assasin's Creed." He is already on board to star in the second one as well, together with Academy Award Winner, Marion Cotilliard.
New Regency and Ubisoft are both excited with the feedback that the movie has been receiving. This is why they are already planning for the second installment of the "Assasin's Creed."
According to sources, the groundwork for the sequel is already prepared. Plus, the appeal of both the video game and leading man Fassbender is so strong, that the only outcome for the "Assasin's Creed" movie, is to succeed. Fassbender will also be joining DMC Films and Ubisoft Pictures as part of their production team.
The "Assasin's Creed" is scheduled to be in theaters this coming December 21. It will be following the story of a modern day man called Callum Lynch, portrayed by Fassbender, who enters the genetic memories of Aguilar, his ancestor. Fassbender's family in the movie is part of a guild of assasins who are battling the Templars.
To add to the hype, Fox will also be launching a VR experience for the "Assasin's Creed." They have teamed up with Practical Magic and they are now busy putting together an amazing VR movie experience where fans can step into Fassbender's shoes and experience his adventure.
Just to clarify, this will not be a game but will instead place the fans within the movie. Imagine jumping of roof tops, swinging off tall building and running though the streets. It may not sound relaxing but it will definitely be an amazing experience!
