'Bates Motel' Season 5 Release Date, Updates: Showrunner Reveals Major Spoilers; New Twist Leads Norman Crave for More Deaths?

"Bates Motel" Season 5 will soon haunt our TV screens once again as the final episodes for the TV adaption of Psycho film franchise will turn more brutal and psychotic.

Spoilers for "Bates Motel" Season 5 revealed that Freddie Highmore's character, Norman Bates, will turn into a full-blown psychopath in the final part of Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E) psychological thriller series.

According to Jobs & Hire, Rihanna's Marion Crane portrayal and shower scene are not the only twists that fans should look out for because Norman will show how brutal he can be in the upcoming "Bates Motel" Season 5.

In Norma's death, Norman will start to hallucinate more about her mother and their twisted "Romeo & Juliet" like lovestory in "Bates Motel" Season 5. Norma will be more like the mother of Norman in the "Psycho" film franchise but not to the extent that the character will copy how twisted she is in the movie.

In Carlton Cuse interview with Hollywood Reporter, the showrunner revealed a major clue on how Norma's sudden death in Season 4 will tone down "Bates Motel" Season 5.

Cuse hinted that the fifth season "is about the ways" in which "Bates Motel" "does and more specifically does not intersect" with what happened in the Psycho film. In short, as far as the fan theories are concerned, the events of the film will more likely become a guide but will not become the series' major scenes.

However, the showrunner also noted that there will some times where "Bates Motel" Season 5 scenes will "cross paths with some of the events" happened in the  film version.

Cuse further revealed that he and Kerry Ehrin framed the show as a tragedy and tragedy means hoping for the characters to end up having a bad fate but hoping that they will not experience that bad fate.

Moreover, Cuse also noted that viewers will see Norman as "the" Norman in the "Psycho" film. Bates Motel Season 5 will feature a more twisted character of Highmore which fans will surely love to see.

On the other hand, theories from the last season hint that as Norma's presence started to brainwash Norman, the new character Madeleine Loomis coming in "Bates Motel" Season 5 will worsen the boy's psychopathic behavior, as the girl resembles Norma.

Fans speculate that she will trigger Norman's killing spree in a more brutal way as he sees his mother to Madeleine's character.

"Bates Motel" Season 5 is set to air next year.
