Even off-air, the controversial Kardashian family generates buzz, as the production of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" has been reportedly shut down temporarily. This is due to the hospitalization of Kanye West. While the shutdown is temporary, the family's individual careers might be affected.

Kim's Robbery Incident

Keeping the Kardashians off the spotlight is never an easy feat, considering how controversial each member is. Perhaps the guiltiest one would be Kim, who was recently involved in a robbery incident in Paris. The first production shutdown of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" happened after this event.

In its nine years on air, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" first stopped production for the first time during the Kim Kardashian robbery incident. She was robbed at gunpoint by masked men in her private suite. She was then locked in her hotel bathroom, with $11 million worth of jewelry taken from them.

Kanye West's Hospitalization

There is somewhat of a good news for fans of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" though, as it has been reported that there is enough footage to keep the season up despite the new shutdown. The latest one is then brought by the recent hospitalization of Kanye West.

"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" was supposed to film through the holidays, but the plan was easily scrapped. Kanye was reportedly taken by an ambulance for a psychiatric evaluation at the UCLA Medical Center, and has since been kept there since. This was in response to a police call for the welfare checkup of the rapper, who was at the time in his trainer's home and was reported to be acting erratically.

Kanye's hospitalization might be the result of a lot going on in his personal life. With Kim's robbery incident, the verbal attacks on Jay Z and Beyoncé, and the abrupt cancellation of Saint Pablo Tour, he was bound to break at some point. It was only fitting for "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" to temporarily stop production to help him recuperate.

With this, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" has been postponed until further notice. Fans just have to wait for a while to see what's next with the Kardashian family.
