PS4 Mobile App News: Sony Reaches Out To The Community With Another Mobile App

The advantage of having a mobile application for your brand is that you can reach out to a number of consumers in all parts of the globe whenever. Consoles such as Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox can also take this chance to reach out to more gamers this way. This is probably one of the reasons why Sony decided to launch another PS4 mobile app.

The new PS4 mobile application lets players search, join and interact with like-minded individuals who are PS4 gamers using their smartphones. It is quite similar to the Communities tab in the PlayStation 4 console but it allows you to interact with other players using your mobile phones or tablets instead.

"Within a Community, you can join parties and launch into games with other Community members, or talk about your shared interests. For instance, if you're having trouble finding players to tackle Destiny's newest raid, Wrath of the Machine, a Destiny community may help you fill out your fireteam," says Sony Interactive vice president of brand marketing, John Koller in a post in PlayStation blog. Apparently, the PS4 Mobile App can let you communicate to different communities and fellow PS4 gamers.

The PS4 mobile app makes it easy to post text and even images on the community wall. Interaction is also easier because players can post comments and replies. Users can also choose to either receive push notifications in order to stay updated on posts that they follow. The application is called PlayStation Communities, and it aims to "stay in touch with your fellow PS4 gamers while away from the console."

Apparently, Sony acknowledges that need of a PS4 mobile app like this in order to reach out to their users easier. The application is available for iPhone and Android users and you can check it out now as it was launched last November 29.
