Jeremy Lin Injury Update: Nets Point Guard is Still Out of Commission but is keeping busy with 'Linology'

Brooklyn Nets guard Jeremy Lin is still out of the rotation with his hamstring injury, but he is keeping his productivity high. He is doing a lot of work even if he is not donning the Brooklyn black.

A previous Gamenguide piece iterated that Jeremy Lin and the Nets medical team are not sure when he will be ready to hoop once more. To soften the cries of worry from the "Linsanity" faithful, the former Knick has been spotted in a Nets practice.

Fantasy players who drafted Jeremy Lin to their teams better think twice about keeping the 6'3" guard in their roster: CBS Sports just confirmed that Jeremy Lin won't be featuring for the Nets' game against the Milwaukee Bucks. This will mark Lin's 13th straight absence as the Nets' floor general.

The Nets terribly miss the former Harvard Crimson's services on the hardwood. According to ESPN, Lin is the Nets' best player in terms of assists at 6.2apg. He is also the second-best pickpocket with 1.40spg, only behind Trevor Booker's 2.12. Moreover, he is the Nets' second most efficient player, raking 22.0 PER numbers in only five games.

Jeremy Lin is making full use of his time off the court to help the Nets improve. The New York Times have reported that Lin is walking around with a clipboard and record in-game statistics to help the team's offensive efficiency; something that is very "Harvard" of him to do.

Head coach Kenny Atkinson is obviously thrilled with Jeremy Lin's extra-curricular efforts: "It's beautiful. It's his way of showing he cares. He asked me if he could do it, and I said, 'Yeah, sure.' And he just does it, and he hands it to me after every game, and then I hand it to - you know, I'm not exactly sure where it goes."

It may take a while before we get to see Jeremy Lin in action once again, but it's nice to see that the guy is doing great on the sidelines. The passion he has for the game shows, and the rest of the league will be excited to see him play again.
