Steam Best Christmas Deals, Latest News & Update: Biggest Steam Winter Sale Starts December 22

The biggest sale on Steam is finally here. Steam Winter Sale will begin on December 22. It is usually a 12-day event of discounted games on Steam and will end on January 2, 2017.

The leak about the dates was mentioned by NeoGaf. Spontaneously, last year's Steam Winter Sale also fell on the same date. Games included in the sale last year include "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," and all franchise of "Witcher." "Borderlands 2," "Civilization V," "Dark Souls 2," and "Dishonored" were also discounted during the 2015's winter sale.

Other games included in the Steam Winter Sale of 2015 are "Fallout: New Vegas," "King's Quest (Episode 1)," and "Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor." "Rocket League," "Rogue Legacy," and "Spelunky" were discounted at 30 percent, 85 percent, and 75 percent respectively. In Addition, games such as "Spec Ops: The Line," "Starwhal," "Super Meat Boy," "System Shock 2," and "Tales from the Borderlands" were also discounted from 70 up to 90 percent last year.

SteamSpy announced earlier that this year records the highest number of new games releases in Steam's history. This accounts 4,207 games released on Steam. The company was launched in 2004. In that year there were only seven games were released, in that year no Steam Winter Sale was offered yet. Looking back at the company's 2005 records shows a declining number of games released to only six. And in 2013, the new games released accounted to 565.

This shows how Steam has fared in the realm of games through the years. The remarkable feat this year's data revealed only shows the trust, as well as the delight, Steam give to its customers. The company's deal offers like Steam Autumn Sale, and Steam Winter Sale are also great factors in contributing to the company's impressive success.
