Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro Specs, Features, News & Update: 6 GB Of RAM Revealed; What To Expect For This Device?
Last October 21 in China, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro had been launched as the first Samsung smartphone to boast 6 GB of RAM. It promised a more improved audio performance than the majority of handsets and it can support Samsung Pay.
Although the latest Galaxy C9 Pro unit is not made to compete with iPhone 7 or save Samsung from its failed Galaxy Note 7 flagship, most of its features have strong selling points. According to GSM Arena, the 6 GB RAM Samsung phone has a 6-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 653 chipset. It has an octa-core CPU made of four mighty fast 1.95 GHz Cortex-A72 and four 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53. The Snapdragon CPU is integrated with Adreno 510 GPU. Therefore, expect a better performance for this mid-range priced smartphone which is also installed with Android Marshmallow (version 6.0.1).
Aside from having 6 GB of RAM, Galaxy C9 Pro also has 64 GB of internal storage and a card slot for microSD (up to 256GB). Surely, the allocated space is more than enough for most Android users. When it comes to the camera, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is also equipped with 16 MP front and back cameras.
According to PhoneArena, the 6 GB RAM phone comes with a 4,000mAH battery. Its battery capacity is much higher than mid-range phones. However, given its 6-inch screen, the extra power is necessary for having an average battery life consumption.
Other features of Galaxy C9 Pro includes a fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, and a hotspot. The available colors for C9 Pro are Gold and Rose Gold and it is estimated to have a price of $470.
Initially believed that the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro would only be available in China, other countries are hopeful that the unit will be available to their markets. According to Indian Express, the Galaxy C9 Pro with 6 GB RAM is spotted on the website of Zauba, an Indian import tracker for testing.
