iMac 2017 Release Date, News & Update: Confirmed Features of iMac For Its 2017 Release

There were a lot of talks about iMac 2017 making its way in the market this year, so a lot were disappointed when it made a no show. However, this does not mean that Apple is completely dropping it; instead, they actually have something up on their sleeves.

The iMacs have been completely upgraded and will feature the latest technology that Apple can offer to compensate for its late arrival. iMac 2017 features will include a virtual reality support, seventh generation processors, a touch bar, and many more.

The upcoming iMac will be housing Intel's seventh generation Kaby Lake processors. This will give it a speed boost and a top-of-the-line graphics performance. There are reports that because of this, the release of iMac in 2017 will once again be delayed because Apple is said to be waiting for powerful chipsets from Intel. But, in the event that these processors might delay the release, Apple could go for the 10-core Xeon E7.

Aside from top class processors, iMac 2017 will also have the AMD Polaris 10 graphics architecture which will support Virtual Reality to iMac users as well as the new touch bar, like the upgrade in Macbook Pro. The touch bar is an OLED strip with interactive commands that are set to replace the function keys on the Apple keyboard.

The new iMac 2017 is said to have 2 versions. Both are getting a 5K display, and the first version will have 16 GB RAM and a full flash storage, while the other will have a 32 GB RAM and a 2TB Fusion drive.

The new iMac 2017 will be available at $3,199.99. A bit expensive? Well yes, seeing as it will offer a great deal of features. No specific release date is confirmed, but speculations are leaning on a 2017 launch.
