Motorola New Phone Latest News & Update: Leaked Images Reveal Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus, Moto X (2017); Features, Specs, Release Details

New leaked photos revealed what are believed to be the Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus and Moto X (2017). The images provided some features of the upcoming Motorola handsets.

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus

GSM Arena stated that based on the leak, which looked like a screenshot of the front of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, both devices will showcase a 5.5-inch full HD screen and octa-core chipsets. The Moto G5 will include 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter, while the Moto G5 Plus will include a 16-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The Moto G5 will allegedly have 16GB of internal memory, 24-hour battery and turbo charging. The Moto G5 Plus will have either 16GB of 32GB of internal storage, 24-hour battery, turbo charging and a fingerprint reader.

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus are slated to release on Mar. 8, 2016, although the areas have yet to be announced. Also, Motorola has not yet confirmed the dates and rumored specifications of the new handsets, so fans should wait for an official announcement.

Moto X (2017) Coming

In another GSM Arena report, the current flagship models from Motorola are branded as Moto Z, which departed from the previous Moto X label that the company has been using in the past several years. However, Motorola stated that the Moto X series was still doing well and they are preparing to launch the next handset in 2017, which will still carry the Moto X moniker.

The Moto X (2017) will follow the Moto X Style (2015) and may be positioned as an upper-midrange phone, below the flagship Moto Z. Leaked images of the alleged Moto X (2017) also surfaced recently, showing that it will come with a fingerprint scanner on the front, a metal frame or fully metallic build, and in gold color.

The handset will also include a rear camera with a dual-LED flash, which protrudes from the body. Similar to the Moto G5 and G5 Plus, Motorola has not yet confirmed the details of the Moto X (2017), so users have to wait for an official announcement. More updates and details on the Moto G5, Moto G5 Plus and Moto X (2017) are expected soon.
