'Batman: Arkham Knight' Release Date, News & Update: WB Montreal Plans To Have A Follow Up To VR Game With Robin & Penguin Game?

The "Batman: Arkham Knight" trilogy and "Batman: Arkham VR", was a major success from WB Montreal and was also the mark of the end of the franchise. However, recent reports shows that WB Montreal isn't ready to close the door for another "Batman: Arkham Knight" title and the company is currently developing another game title for their caped crusader.

A possible 'Batman: Arkham Knight' featuring Robin?

With last night's festivities in the Game Awards, Kotaku news editor Jason Schreier tweeted that the editor expects to see new Zelda Footage, "Mass Effect" Footage, "Prey", "Guardians of the Galaxy", and a new "Batman: Arkham Knight" game title. As the night continued, many of Schreier's Twitter followers started asking questions about the "Batman: Arkham Knight" and pleaded Schreier to reveal all the news the editor knows about a new "Batman: Arkham Knight" game.

Jason Schreier then leaked that WB Montreal is developing a new "Batman: Arkham Knight" featuring Damian Wayde as Robin, the nemesis system from "Shadow of Mordor", and a trailer that ends on Penguin. Schreier added that all details from the new "Batman: Arkham Knight" came from one qualified source and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, other theories of the new "Batman: Arkham Knight" from WB Montreal other than Damian Wayne and the Penguin is that the upcoming Batman title will be set 10 years into the future with Bruce Wayne hanging up his mantle as the Batman. Bruce Wayne trains Damian as his successor in battling foes in Gotham City as Robin, but there are no official news to what age does Damian appear in the new "Batman: Arkham Knight."

Black Mask and Poison Ivy is also rumored to be in the "Batman: Arkham Knight" with Black Mask turned into a woman. However, the publication isn't sure if the new Black Mask is somewhat a new version or will remain as the canon Black Mask.

WB Montreal's new take on the "Batman: Arkham Knight" is expected to be release in 2017. For more "Batman: Arkham Knight" news and updates stay tuned to Gamenguide!
