Metro: Last Light’s Developer Pack DLC is now live

More good news from the promised land known as Metro: Last Light. As promised, Deep Silver has now released the new Developer Pack DLC for the company’s massively popular shooter. The Developer Pack is only the third add-on content for the game.

The DLC offers several different opportunities for fans to re-design the gameplay of the highly acclaimed first person shooter. There are three main points, which are as follows:

- Players with the opportunity to experiment with every gun and attachment combination in the Shooting Range, and also complete unique marksman challenges for each weapon.

- The AI Arena allows players to pit customizable squads of human soldiers and mutants against each other, or else prove themselves in several other challenges.

- Finally, players can also explore Metro’s cast of characters, including human and mutant foes, up close in the ‘Metro Museum’

The Developer Pack also includes an original solo mission called The Spider’s Nest that is meant to truly test the nerves of those who suffer from arachnophobia. The only option, as the company suggests, is to use your wits, your lighter, your torch, and the brand new Flamethrower to escape from a spider infested catacomb.

The DLC, now available worldwide on Steam, Xbox Live, and the PlayStation Network in North America, costs just $3.99 / £3.19 / €3.99, and is the third of four DLC packs to be included in Metro: Last Light’s Season Pass.

The Season Pass is available for $14.99 / £11.99 / €14.99 and, in turn, offers a discount over buying the packs separately, while also including an additional exclusive weapon, the Abzats, a heavy duty shotgun.

The Developer Pack DLC will be available on the PlayStation Network in Europe and the rest of the world on Sept. 18.

The final add-on DLC content release for Metro: Last Light, known as the ‘Chronicles Pack,’ is set to arrive later this month and will feature three original single player missions.

The add-on will also cast the player as four of the game’s standout characters – Pavel, Khan & Ulman, and Anna – while exploring their side-stories, obviously different from that of Artyom.
