'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Latest News & Update: New Gameplay Trailer Features Innovative Gear and Combat Clips but Sports Similar Theme to 'No Man's Sky?'

Critics and gaming enthusiasts have started to air their thoughts on the newest "Mass Effect: Andromeda" gameplay trailer. The hottest in gaming forums is that the teaser features a similar theme to that of "No Man's Sky."

On Friday, BioWare unleashed the gameplay trailer for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and since then, fans and gaming experts have shared their insights on the clip. There are innovative pieces of new gear shown, according to GameSpot. Fans were also given a closer and better look at the Nomad ship. The teaser didn't fall short of combat scenes as well. For the outlet, the new trailer looks much better than what has been provided over the past months.

One thing that made the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" trailer more special is the revelation that pursuing relationships in the title is not limited to the character's gender. "Mass Effect" lead writer Mac Walters explained to IGN how this feature works.

"As far as the relationships go, we try to make them less formulaic... One of the things I certainly learned was we saw Mass Effect evolve is not everyone's going to love every character, and you shouldn't try to do that. We actually want to build some characters who are going to appeal to certain people," he explained. Walters further noted that in "Mass Effect: Andromeda," players can actually get into relationships with other characters they meet in one of the planets.

Meanwhile, Forbes contributor Paul Tassi pointed out something that not every fan of the massive franchise may have noticed. According to Tassi, the new "Mass Effect: Andromeda" gameplay trailer sounds "awfully" similar to "No Man's Sky." The teaser says players will start with a Nomad ship but they will have to find, create, or steal items which will be crucial to their survival.

Tassi added that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" could potentially become the "No Man's Sky" that fans always wanted. "No Man's Sky" wasn't able to live up to the expectations of fans but the new "Mass Effect" title could be the answer.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is slated to hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime spring 2017. Stay tuned for more updates!
