WWE TLC 2016 Results, Reviews & Update: SmackDown Live Kicks Brings Chaos with PPV; Heel Season Happening?

WWE TLC 2016 recently concluded and with it, the question on what could come next has been laid out to the world. After the brand split, it can be justified that both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live have tried to outweigh each other with quality storylines and promotions-which was an utter success for the SmackDown Live pay-per-view.

The article below contains spoilers on the winners for the WWE TLC 2016 pay-per-view. After picking up the win during the recently concluded WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, SmackDown Live is now slated to run on their own with one of the most brutal events in a WWE year, Tables, Ladders and Chairs.

Tag Team Action

WWE TLC 2016 kicks off with 10-man Tag Team action between the team of Apollo Crews, American Alpha and The Hype Bros. against Curt Hawkins, The Vaudevillains and The Ascension. All these athletes got their start at WWE NXT, wherein the face team of Crews, The Hype Bros. and American Alpha picked up the win. Tag Team action did not end there, however, wherein the first heel win of the night belonged to The Wyatt Family as they took on SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno. The newly acquired Randy Orton was alongside Bray Wyatt and took home the gold for the team.

This is Personal

More personal matches also took place in WWE TLC 2016 such as Nikki Bella versus Carmella in a No Disqualification Match, with the face Bella picking up the win. The same can be said for the brewing rivalry of Baron Corbin and Kalisto, culminating with Corbin victorious. Becky Lynch was also toppled by a fellow heel Alexa Bliss in Tables Match, with the antagonist five-feet-of-fury powerbombing Lynch through a table.

Still the Champ

Title defenses are equally as good as the changes in WWE TLC 2016, with The Miz retaining his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder Match. Lastly, the controversial end to the WWE World Championship defense of AJ Styles against Dean Ambrose shocked the world, as an interfering James Ellsworth shows up and cost Ambrose the match. This lights up the next episode of SmackDown Live to be quite the surprise, with no apparent hint on what could happen next.

With all the chaos found within the WWE TLC 2016 pay-per-view, how will the faces of SmackDown Live fare and where would they go from that point on? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
