Gravity Rush 2 News & Update: New Gameplay Footage Revealed

A ton of games were present during the recent PlayStation Experience or PSX. One game that continues to intrigue fans is Sony Interactive Studio Japan and Project Siren's Gravity Rush 2. The developer came at the event with a new gameplay trailer showcasing more of the game's stunning visuals and unique gameplay.

Game producer Nick Accordino introduced the new trailer, Dualshockers reports.  It was filled with a huge chunk of Gravity Rush 2's charming gameplay. By watching the new gameplay trailer, fans get to witness a very underrated title coming exclusively for the PlayStation.

The trailer showcases how Kat battles her enemies in a beautifully designed world. True to its name, Gravity Rush 2 will once again put gravity and physics at the core of its gameplay. Kat will be able to control gravity at will and her special ability can lead to some fast-paced combat against some formidable enemies.

Gravity Rush 2 will give Kat access to three different gravity styles. One is the original style from the first game so fans will have no trouble using it. The other two gravity styles are Lunar and Jupiter.

When using Lunar, Kat will be lighter and quicker. With that, it will allow her to attack enemies swiftly but at the cost of less damage.

Jupiter, on the other hand, will make Kat heavier and slower. Even so, this style can cause bigger damage. Using the PlayStation 4 controllers' touch pad, players can change between these three gravity styles.

Sony head Shuhei Yoshida also revealed during PSX 2016 that Raven will be a playable character, Destructoid reports. However, players will have to purchase a DLC featuring Raven in which players can use Kat's sidekick. Gravity Rush 2 comes out in January 2017 and will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
