"Destiny" has just announced an upcoming Christmas event called "The Dawning" which will start on December 13 until January 3. Based on the announcement, it just might be their biggest event ever as it includes Sparrow Racing League comes back with new tracks, light-equipped gear and still playable in private after the event, Three remixed version of Strikes, Score-attack added in the playlist of SIVA Strike, new rare weapons and a lot more.
"Destiny" The Dawning Event is said to be packed with new missions, game mode and items to play in the game. In fact, it is a very massive update that its Christmas Record Book took two pages of achievements to unlock.
This includes exotic weapons including Solarlord, Voidlord and a Year Three Ice Breaker, Tower quests with great rewards and Christmas decorations on the tower. In addition, the Nexus, The Shadow Thief and The Will of Crota are all remixed for the SIVA versions.
Solarlord and Voidlord are two of the most exotic weapons in the "Destiny". Both are considered heavy machine guns that can only be claimed after completing a set of quests and through in-game action instead of the Tower-based meta-noodling.
For the Strikes changes, it's mostly a remake of the three SIVA versions plus SIVA-equipped opponents from the Rise of Iron. The developers of the "Destiny" did not elaborate on what exactly to expect but hinted to look at the remixed version of Phogoth Strikes and Sepiks Prime in the Rise of Iron for clues.
Last but not the least is how the Strikes will change the gameplay during the event. The SIVA playlist is normally getting a score-attack mode which should give new rewards and bounties. It's like playing PvP Iron Banner event but this time it's a PvE mode. "Destiny" Players will be allowed to get brand new Zavalla bounties that should reward scores for the actions in the Strikes.
