More characters have been revealed in the upcoming "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" in ESPN2's rebroadcasting of the Capcom Cup. In addition, more details about the gameplay are announced including assist characters and the Infinity Stones which are elements from the Marvel Universe.
Captain America and Morrigan joins the already confirmed characters namely Iron Man, Ryu, Captain Marvel, and Megaman X. They were announced right after the conclusion of Capcom Cup Street Fighter 5 finals through a gameplay teaser. And for those who wants to see more, MCV Infinite will show a two vs two battle where players can see how the new strategic combat works.
One of the biggest change "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" included in the game, is the infinity stones from Marvel Universe and how much it will assist players in their strategic combats. According to reports, players will be ask to choose two characters and an Infinity Stone before every battle. It is expected that each Infinity Stone will have a different effect depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen character.
In the world of Marvel, Infinity Stones gives its owner god-like strength and each part of it specializes on a specific aspect such as time, power, space, reality, mind and soul. For instance, Captain Marvel acquired the ability to escape attacks through one of the Infinity Stones.
But if there is one thing that "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" probably didn't change in the gams is the Assist Characters that can join and intercept in every battle as players wish them to. Its one of the iconic features of the game and fans are happy that the game has not ditched this feature.
As of today, "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" is still in the works but is scheduled for release next year in Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. This game is the eighth franchise from the series of Marvel vs Capcom crossover games.
