‘Pokemon Sun and Moon’ News & Update: Record Sales Skyroceting; Tips & Tricks Revealed

“Pokemon” is one of the most easily recognizable brands even to people who are in no way interested in either anime or gaming. Pikachu has practically become a cultural icon and the success of ‘”Pokemon Go”, developed by the studio “Niantic” has managed to shoot the game into the mainstream. How does this new found popularity work for the new “Pokemon: Sun and Moon” franchise.

It has been quite good, judging by sales records. Forbes has announced that the new installment in the “Pokemon” series called “Sun and Moon” has managed to reach sales of 3.7 million copies, which has made it the most successful “Nintendo America” title to be released to date. Just as an example, the previous pair of games in the series “X and Y” sold far less than the current one, where “Sun and Moon” has reached an increase of sells up to 85 percent. The holiday period has surely been merciful to this title and the sells will just go higher with the nearing of Christmas Eve.

Have you wondered what is next, after you become a Pokemon League Champion? Polygon has the answer. There is actually a lot of additional content which follows the end of the game’s main campaign. One of the many examples is the search for the ultra beasts. Anabel and Looker the duo pokemon detectives from the “Pokemon X and Y” series will entrust you with the mission to catch all the ultra beasts surrounding the island.

The quest becomes available once the main campaign has been completed. You can also get Cosmog in an unevolved form. To do this, the player must go to the temple of Sunne or Moone depending on the version there are playing. The Sunne temple must be visited during night and the Moone temple during the day, then after exiting the temple, time would have passed by twelve hours. Then head to the Lake of the Sunne (Moone) and after a short cutscene, Cosmog will ask to join your party.

IGN adds in a few tips on making your pokemon stronger. To do this, players must increase their EV points, which can only happen through combat. Defeating an enemy will gift bonus EV points, depending on the nature of the defeated enemy. Zubats will give speed EV points, while Yungoos will give strength EV points. You have to be careful though, as only 510 EV points can be earned on a pokemon and only 252 can be invested in a single stat.
