‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ Release Date, News & Update: New Romance Options Promise Evolution of Relationships; Know More Here!
The relationship has been part of the "Mass Effect" video game series and it has been said that it will evolve in the coming "Mass Effect: Andromeda." In fact, the new title is set to feature new love interests for the Ryder twins.
In an interview with IGN, Bioware creative director and "Mass Effect" franchise lead writer Mac Walters revealed that they tried to make the relationships in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" "less formulaic." Unlike in the original trilogy, the upcoming title is set to feature a romance.
"What I wanted to see in this was more of ... somebody might want to hop in the sack right away, [or] somebody might never want to hop in the sack because this is too important," Walters explained. "... trying to find that more natural way into what a relationship would be like within the constraints of game development. We're trying to make it as open-ended as possible," he added about "Mass Effect: Andromeda."
In "Mass Effect: Andromeda," the player will have the freedom to choose the character that they like with the romance options, which depends on their chosen protagonist. CinemaBlend added that it might have different characters with various responses that will allow the players to do the deed immediately or be playful and prepare for the big thing.
Although this is deemed to be the game's evolution, some might still not go for this new development. Even if the romance options are already included in the earlier "Mass Effect" titles, Walters went on to explain that players are about to have a different experience in "Mass Effect: Andromeda."
This is simply because "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will feature casual relationships and love interests that are not part of its world's crew or squad mates. Also, the title will feature friendly relationships and not entirely about romance and sexual activity. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is set to be released in March 2017.
