Holiday 2016 Gift Ideas: Apple Watch Series 2 Is The Perfect Present, Here’s Why?

Apple Watch has reportedly been updated with a speed boost in light of the release of Series 2. Note that the Apple Watch is still being sold from $269 while the first-generation Apple Watch has already been discontinued. Furthermore, the Apple Watch sales reportedly need a boost as other new wearables like the Fitbits have already hit the market.

It is said that this is the most opportune time to buy the Apple Watch, 9to5Mac reported. Apparently, a new version of Apple Watch called Series 2 was launched in September alongside the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Note that the new model of Apple Watch packs a GPS feature.

In addition, the Apple Watch original model was rebranded as Series 1. Apparently, Apple updated the Series 1 with a speed boost. Moreover, both series reportedly boast fix issues as well. Furthermore, it is believed that both variants come with the same speed.

The Apple Series 1 is reportedly recommended for many customers priced up to $299. On the other hand, fitness buffs may opt for Series 2 for their outdoor cycles and swimming workouts. Note that the second model of the Apple Watch comes with a $369 price tag or up to $1,499.

In other news, the latest estimated sales for wearables reportedly showed that the Apple Watch may need to step up. Apparently, the release of other inexpensive wearables was to blame. Note that fitness trackers like Fitbits come at a fraction of the cost, Business Insider reported.

The Apple Watch reportedly shipped 1.1 million wearables in Q3 2016. However, this is said to be 71 percent lesser than the same time last year that shipped 3.9 million. Other top companies selling wearables are Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung and Xiaomi. It should be noted that the top selling companies had annual gains compared to Apple. Watch an Apple Watch Review here:
