PlayStation 4 Launch Date: Amazon Announces Launch Bundles for Pre-Order

Killzone and Battlefield 4 PS4 Bundles Up for Pre-Order on Amazon

After a minor hiccup with PlayStation 4 Watch Dogs bundles, it seems like Amazon has gotten their act together, announcing
that PlayStation 4 Bundles are now available for pre-order.

The mega retailer sent out e-mail notifications informing customers as much, writing: "Dear Amazon.com Customer, Thank you for signing up for email to be notified. PlayStation 4 Bundles are now available for preorder.

The bundles in question are available for $499 each, $100 over what the system alone will cost upon release. But you do get the copy of the game and a PS Plus pass for being first to order. Given the deal on the price, try to grab them while you can, as they're sure to sell out quick.

Gamers can choose from the Battlefield 4 Launch Day Bundle, or the Killzone Launch Day Bundle. You don't need to be a rocket surgeon to see what comes with what bundle. There's another bundle that offers Knack, but doesn't include the PS Plus subscription.

Under the hood, the PS4 boasts Supercharged PC architecture, X86 CPU, Enhanced PC GPU, and 8GB Unified Memory. It will support the same PlayStation Plus service as the Vita and PlayStation 3. However, a Plus subscription will be required for online multiplayer games, but not for additional media services like Netflix. Sony has also updated the Dual Shock controllers with a touch screen and improved shoulder triggers, and bundles the console with a headset.

The PlayStation 4 is set to release on November 15 in North America and on November 29 in Europe. Day one games available for the system include Assassin's Creed IV: Black FlagBattlefield 4Call of Duty: GhostsKillzone Shadow FallMadden NFL 25MinecraftNBA 2K14Need for Speed: Rivals, and more. It will retail for $399.
